About the Indalo Symbol
The shape is said to be of a man holding an arc with magical powers of protection against storms and the "evil eye".
Superstition has made it a custom for people in Mojacar to paint the sign or hand symbols on their dwellings.
In the 1940's a group of intellectuals and artists used the primitive cultures of Almeria as a reference for their works which popularised the Indalo symbol.
